One of the most important parts of asphalt maintenance is parking lot crack repair.

In fall and winter, water gets into the cracks and as it freezes, it swells, causing the crack itself to expand and get larger. Dealing with cracks in asphalt as soon as you spot them stops water from penetrating cracks and causing further damage to the pavement's foundation.

Asphalt, by nature, matures and ages through time. Prolonged exposure to the sun and other natural elements cause it to grow brittle, which leads to flaking and cracking. Filling cracks is an important factor in asphalt maintenance. It helps prevent additional damage by keeping moisture from seeping into the foundation, and avoid weakening the asphalt even further.

Spring is here, and as the snow melts away, a push blower will make clearing the winter debris from your parking area quick and easy. All maintenance starts with clean-up, and this is especially true of pavement. It is the only way to get a good look and see what damage winter has done.

The lines are necessary to show directions and handicap zones, reserve parking areas, and to mark zones in grocery stores or warehouses. It's a pretty straightforward trade that doesn't require complex skills.
